The Sea Stinger Lightning Rod is the culmination of years of research and innovation.

The 1lb 7oz total weight is precisely tuned to deliver the optimum force for deep penetration of the Sea Stinger SS1 tip. The Lightning Rod’s carbon fiber shaft gives it a highly desirable tip heavy balance. 75% of it’s weight is in the forward 20 inches which increases accuracy.

The stiffness of the carbon fiber shaft reduces flexing under load and the resulting power killing “shaft whip”.

This Pole Spear does not come with a Sea Stinger tip. Other tips can be used that have a 6mm female threaded attachment. However, we recommend that you use one of the Sea Stinger tips, because the design of the pole spear was designed to compliment the Sea Stinger spear tips and their unique abilities.

The Cam Lock band anchor allows the shooter to quickly adjust the power stroke and hand position of the spear. It also allows the spear fisherman to use a band customized to their preferences. The Cam Lock allows the user to quickly reduce the power and at the same time, move the shooting hand closer to the tip. This unique feature comes in handy when the prey holes-up under a ledge. By moving the Cam Lock forward the grip position can be moved close to the tip while reducing the power to deliver an accurate hole shot with reduced power to prevent over penetration and jamming the tip in the rock.
